How I Help
Provider Identification & Licensure
I am a medical doctor, board-certified psychiatrist, and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. I provide hormone-aware psychiatric care for adults via telehealth.
I am licensed to practice in Florida, Texas, New York, Ohio, and Indiana. All services are provided online only.
Primary Fit Anchor
I help women in their 30s–50s navigating perimenopause who are experiencing new or worsening mental health symptoms and want thoughtful, hormone-aware psychiatric care.
Many of the people I work with feel physically and emotionally “off” and aren’t sure why. They may be wondering whether hormones are playing a role and want clear guidance on what’s happening and what to do next.
Strong Fit Contexts
This work is often a good fit for women who are experiencing:
New mental health symptoms such as anxiety, mood swings, low mood, irritability, or rage that feel hormonally driven
Worsening anxiety or depression during the menopause transition
Changes in sleep, energy, motivation, or emotional regulation without a clear explanation
A sense of “not feeling like myself anymore” and wanting answers
A desire to take an active role in care through lifestyle changes, medication, or hormone-aware treatment options
Therapeutic Approach & Medical Care
I focus on the mental health and quality-of-life aspects of perimenopause.
Hormonal changes during the menopause transition can affect both body and mind, contributing to symptoms such as disrupted sleep, mood changes, anxiety, cognitive fog, joint pain, and shifts in weight or energy.
Care may include a combination of:
medical evaluation and diagnosis
psychiatric medication options, including hormone-aware care
lifestyle strategies related to sleep, nutrition, and movement
supportive or reflective conversations to help make sense of this life transition
Treatment is collaborative and individualized. Decisions are made over time, with adjustments based on response, preferences, and goals rather than a single test or visit.
When This Work Is a Good Fit
This approach works best for people who:
Want a medical perspective on how perimenopause may be affecting mental health
Are open to an iterative process rather than a quick fix
Understand that meaningful improvement often takes time
Are able to attend follow-up visits and periodic check-ins (often every few months)
Appreciate a practical, grounded approach—and can keep a sense of humor about what this stage of life can bring
When This May Not Be the Best Fit
This practice may not be the right fit if you:
Need urgent or crisis-level mental health care
Are experiencing active suicidal thoughts that require immediate support
Need in-person exams or physical evaluations
Are looking for a single lab test or quick solution rather than ongoing care
If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
